About This Business
Vegetation management along a rail corridor has to happen without holding up the trains, and nobody sets foot in there without a rail industry induction first. TreeLink has honed that work over years, keeping services running while preserving the habitat that lines the tracks, and the accreditation and induction paperwork those jobs demand is in place before we quote rather than scrambled for afterwards.
Russell Cleaver and Angus McGregor started the business in 2008. Both hold a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from Sydney University and a Diploma of Arboriculture, both are Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, and Angus also holds an AQF Level 3 Arborist Certificate from Kurri Kurri TAFE. There are more than twenty qualified people behind them now and a fleet of fifteen trucks with specialised plant, working across Greater Sydney, the Southern Highlands and the Central Coast from a base at Mascot.
Our crews carry Senior First Aid, traffic control blue and yellow cards, aerial rescue, powerline approach, chemical preparation and application, elevated work platform tickets and rail industry induction. We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation, we sit as a pre-qualified supplier on Local Buy arrangements, and all work practices follow current WHS regulations.
Emergency response runs 24 hours a day: phone assistance first, then a site assessment by an AQF Level 3 or Level 5 TRAQ qualified arborist, then the make safe and hazard mitigation work that brings the risk from a fallen or damaged tree back down. For a larger event we can mobilise a network of rapid response tree crews across NSW, the ACT, Victoria and Queensland. The everyday work spans tree management, including complex removals in tight access, tree pruning, stump grinding, vegetation management along corridors and around assets, and asset and infrastructure maintenance for the people who own that infrastructure. Our consulting arborists write the arborist reports a council, a court or a project needs.
The sustainability side of this business is not decoration. Tree planting, bush regeneration, habitat creation, ecology and wildlife work and tree preservation and protection through a build sit together as one part of the operation, along with bushfire mitigation works. Government agencies, commercial and construction entities, rail operators and homeowners all come through the same crews. Ring 0499 550 396 and we will get someone out for a free on-site inspection within 48 hours, and the obligation free quote that follows includes a risk assessment and clearly marked photographs showing exactly what work is proposed.
