About This Business
The fastest way to change a space is to put an established tree into it, and moving a grown tree is the job our crew put their hands up for. Transplanting starts with an inspection of the tree and an assessment of where it is going, then a plan for the lift itself, with cranes, excavators and HIAB trucks doing the shifting so the root ball and the canopy both arrive intact, and follow up care while it settles into the new ground. Depending on size we can often move several trees in the one run, which brings the cost down. We have done it for a single tree someone was buying privately and for whole commercial plantations.
Gary started Trees Need Tree Surgeons because a tree is worth the time and the investment, and that was over 32 years ago. Since then he and the team have been engaged by State Government, local councils, schools, businesses, landscape designers, real estate agents, strata managers and a great many local families. We are a fully qualified, fully accredited and fully insured tree surgery firm working out of Bibra Lake, and your buildings, fences, cars and garden beds are part of what we are looking after on the day, not just the tree.
When a tree looks like it might be a problem, we put a number on it. Our risk assessments use the Quantified Tree Risk Assessment system, which identifies, analyses and evaluates the risk of harm from the failure of a tree or its branches within the coming year, weighing the likelihood of that failure against what it would land on and against the benefits the tree is providing. The outcome goes to whoever owns the risk, and it is what a strata committee or a facilities manager needs in front of them before a decision gets made.
Where an assessment flags a split crotch or a heavy limb, bracing and cabling is the surgery for it: steel rods or flexible cables that let the stem or branch support itself while the damage heals, or head the damage off before it starts. Tree health care works the same problem from the other end with preventative treatment and regular fertilising, and where spots, bugs, dieback or disease have already taken hold we assess the tree or shrub and treat it. Alongside all of that runs the everyday work, tree removal, lopping and pruning, stump grinding and storm damage clean up, and the yard goes back to you tidier than we found it.
