About This Business

Old Parliament House, the War Memorial and the National Gallery are among the places our arborists have carried out removals, stump grinding, diagnosis and tree reports on, alongside embassies, schools and ordinary suburban gardens. That is the work TreeWorks has been doing from our yard in Queanbeyan East, with some of our arborists carrying more than 25 years in large scale tree surgery and removals. We are fully licensed and insured, a member of Arboriculture Australia, and we hold an ACT Government Industrial Relations and Employment Certificate.

Our accreditation as ACTEW tree surgeons is what puts us on powerline clearing work, and the crew carries a Certificate in Vegetation Management for work in powerline proximity to go with it. Climbing and rescue aloft, chainsaw and elevated work platform tickets mean a difficult tree can be taken apart from inside the canopy or reached from a lift, so tree removal on a tight block never depends on there being room to drop it whole, and the stump grinding and tree pruning that follow are handled by the same crew. We take on residential and commercial work throughout Canberra, Queanbeyan, Yass, Bungendore and the Southern Tablelands, out as far as Cooma and Goulburn, and across Belconnen, Gungahlin, Woden, Tuggeranong, North Canberra and South Canberra.

Elms line a lot of the older streets around Canberra and Queanbeyan, and elm leaf beetle comes back at them every summer. Our elm leaf beetle eradication is carried out under AQF2 and Chemcert certification in chemical use, which is what lets us treat a tree rather than write it off, and the same tickets sit behind our disease control and insect control work. If you are not sure whether a tree is sick or simply untidy, we will come and look at it on a free tree safety inspection with no obligation attached, and when a situation calls for something in writing, the Diploma level qualification in the team stands behind our tree health assessments and reports. Between us the crew also holds Certificates 2, 3 and 4 in Arboriculture and in Horticulture, and Certificate 3 in Conservation Land Management.

Before a crew starts, a site specific hazard analysis is carried out, and the hazard analysis, treatment options and emergency procedures stay visible on site for the length of the job. Every employee is trained before going into the field and attends refresher courses, and our Safe Work Method Statements and standard operating procedures are there if you want to see them. Getting a price costs you nothing: we come out for a free onsite verbal consultation and quote, and there is zero cost to you until the job is fully completed, cleaned up and you are 100% satisfied. The office is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday on 02 6282 1244 or 1300 135 835, and for emergency tree work outside those hours you can reach us on 0438 913 461.
