About This Business
Paul Tiziani was born and bred in Wonthaggi, and he is the fully qualified arborist who set Trimmer Tree up in 1999. He and Belinda have run it together ever since, which makes 25 years and counting on the one stretch of coast. We employ locals, we buy from local businesses, and we put something back into local schools, fundraisers and community groups, because a small business is the spine of the town it sits in.
Phillip Island Nature Parks has commissioned us twice to take Cypress pines off the Summerland Peninsula, as part of the 3.4 million dollar project rehabilitating the old Summerland housing estate back into Little Penguin habitat. A site like that changes how a removal gets planned. Everything is set up so the ground, the burrows and the birds are not disturbed while the pines come out, and we went out of our way to leave the environment around the job exactly as we found it.
We have been a contractor to the Bass Coast Shire since the business started, helping keep local towns, businesses and residents clear of tree hazards, and we work as a government contractor more broadly than that. The run goes from Phillip Island right across to Wilsons Promontory, taking in Wonthaggi, Inverloch, Cape Paterson, San Remo, Corinella, Coronet Bay, Grantville, Leongatha, Korumburra, Fish Creek and Meeniyan, across the Bass Coast and South Gippsland.
Twenty five years builds a long list. There is tree removal and pruning, stump grinding, block clearing, power line clearance and climbing and rope work. We take out dangerous trees and limbs, handle confined space tree removal where there is nowhere to drop anything, do crown lifting and dead wooding, and carry out tree hazard assessments for owners who want to know what they are actually dealing with. Storm damage and insurance works are familiar ground, and we can run traffic control where a job sits on a road.
We hire out equipment as well, excavators and loaders included. Everything that comes off a job goes through the chipper, and our mulch sales put it back onto gardens around the district. Every removal is fully insured. Quotes are free and carry no obligation, and our call centre takes enquiries seven days a week, so there is no wrong day to ask. Ring 0418 177 675 or fill in the quick quote request on the site, and do not worry about sounding daft: there is no such thing as a stupid question when the tree is a hazardous one.
