Two apprentices are working through their Certificate III with us right now, under a lead arborist holding an AQF Certificate V in Arboriculture. Urban Arb Solutions runs out of Burleigh Heads with over 20 years of experience behind it, we're certified members of the Queensland Arboricultural Association, and we carry 20 million dollars of public liability insurance and current WorkCover. That extends to felling large trees and the complex climbing jobs where there is nowhere to drop anything, and to the palms, which make their own trouble at the root ball and all the way up the trunk. Tree lopping and pruning are carried out to AS4373-2007, Pruning of Amenity Trees, so the cuts land where a tree can actually seal them. On development sites our work meets AS4970-2009, Protection of Trees on Development Sites, which is the standard a certifier will hold you to.

Plenty of what we do is about keeping trees rather than taking them out. Tree planting and tree relocation put trees where they will do better, pest and disease control deals with whatever is actually ailing one, and mulching puts the green waste back onto your garden beds. After a removal, tree stump removal by stump grinding takes the stump below ground level so nothing trips over it or shoots back up. Palm cleaning keeps fronds and seed heads off the ground underneath.

Our arborist reports assess health, structure and risk for development applications and council approvals. As a registered contractor with the local council we can also obtain council permission for development projects, which takes a step out of your approvals process and a fortnight out of your program. Between AS4970-2009 on the ground and the report in your certifier's hands, the tree side of a development stops being the thing holding everything else up.
