Valleywide Tree Services has been working in the Latrobe Valley since 1996, starting out as a home-based tree removal outfit and growing into a full tree and vegetation contractor run out of Morwell. It is family owned and locally operated, with managing director Charlie D'Amico, a qualified arborist of more than 20 years, leading a team of licenced arborists, climbers and machine operators. All staff are fully trained, insured and WorkCover ticketed, and the business is VicRoads pre-qualified for traffic management and certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

The tree work covers tree removal of dangerous and hazard trees, tree pruning that takes out risky branches while keeping the tree itself, and stump removal to clear what is left behind. For height and access, they run their own cherry picker and EWP hire with operators, so work high in a canopy or over a roof is reached safely rather than climbed at risk. Certified arborist reports are available for councils, insurance and safety assessments. Behind the crews sit a Certificate 3 arborist running operations and an in house mechanic keeping the fleet on the road.

Bigger jobs are where the plant comes in. Land clearing gets a site ready for building by clearing roots, stumps and rocks, and the business also offers excavation and earthmoving with excavators, skid steers, backhoes and dump trucks. Vegetation management is done for government and corporate clients maintaining public land, and VicRoads approved traffic control keeps roadside and civil jobs running safely.

Very little from a job is wasted. Wood chipping turns offcuts into uniform chips for reuse, mulch supply puts premium mulch back into gardens and landscapes for moisture and weed control, and firewood supply delivers seasoned, split hardwood ready to burn. It means a tree that comes down can end up as mulch on a garden bed or firewood in the shed rather than carted off to landfill.
