About This Business
Not every tree job needs a certification list. The ones on a road do. We are pre-qualified and approved by VicRoads for traffic management, we hold AS2550.10:2006 for elevated work platforms, AS/NZS/ISO 45001:2018 for health and safety compliance and AS/NZS/ISO 9001:2016 for quality management systems, and every person on the crew is fully trained, insured and WorkCover ticketed. That is what we bring to a roadside job at Valleywide Tree Services, and the same standard turns up for a tree hanging over your back fence.
It did not begin there. In 1996 this was a home based tree removal business with a utility and a trailer behind it. Charlie D'Amico, our managing director and a fully qualified arborist, has run it ever since, and it has grown into a company doing excavation, traffic management and truck mounted elevated work platforms alongside the trees, with more than 50 years of combined experience across the team. Dylan manages operations as a qualified Certificate 3 arborist.
Morwell is home base, and the work reaches most of Gippsland from there: Traralgon, Moe, Newborough, Churchill, Warragul, Drouin, Longwarry, Trafalgar, Yarragon, Walhalla, Neerim South, Noojee, Jindivick, Leongatha, Korumburra, Mirboo North, Foster, Nyora, Venus Bay, Sale, Maffra, Heyfield, Rosedale, Stratford, Yarram and Woodside.
A roadside tree is straightforward for us because the traffic plan and the machine come off the same truck. We work out the current traffic situation, put the control in place, then bring the truck mounted elevated work platform over the top of the job, so there is no waiting on a second contractor and no second mobilisation on your invoice. The fleet behind that runs to cherry pickers, chippers, bobcats, a skid steer, excavators from two tonne through to thirty, and a backhoe, and all of it is available for hire.
The tree work itself takes in tree removal and tree pruning, stump removal, tree climbing, electrical line clearances, and land clearing that gets a site free of roots, stumps and rocks before a build starts. Wood chipping turns the offcuts into uniformly sized chips, and what does not go back onto your garden goes out through our mulch supply and firewood supply. Where a decision has to be documented, we prepare arborist reports and hazardous tree assessments.
It could be midnight, and that is not a problem, because the team is on 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Most jobs start with a conversation instead: we listen to what you need done, inspect the location, and give you a price that accounts for every factor involved before anyone commits to anything. Ring 1800 468 733, or leave your number and one of us will call you back.
