Wade is a member of the International Society of Arboriculture and an associate member of the Institute of Australian Consulting Arboriculturists. He is an advanced user of Quantified Tree Risk Assessment, is Chemcert accredited, and holds a high risk licence for EWP operation along with public liability and indemnity insurances. The practice runs from Springvale on the edge of Wagga Wagga and covers the South West Slopes, the Greater Riverina and the Southern Tablelands.

Quantified Tree Risk Assessment is where a good deal of this lands. QTRA quantifies your actual risk of harm from a tree, weighing how likely a failure is against what sits underneath it and how often anything valuable is there. What you end up holding is a number you can make a decision against, and one that still stands up when somebody asks two years later why the tree was kept or why it came out. Defect evaluation feeds straight into that. Where a tree is worth keeping but structurally compromised, support and bracing systems are the other answer, specified against the ISA 2014 guidance on cabling, bracing, guying and propping. The standards behind the rest of the work are AS 4373-2007 for pruning of amenity trees and AS 4970-2009 for protection of trees on development sites.
