Every job we carry out is done in accordance with Australian Standards, WorkCover and AS 4373-2007, the standard for pruning amenity trees. That is not paperwork for its own sake. It is what decides where the cut goes on a limb you want the tree to survive, and it is the reason a pruned tree still looks right in five years. We are based at Woonona on the northern side of Wollongong and service the Illawarra. On a tree removal we use experienced climbers, the stability of a cherry picker, or both, and every branch comes down on ropes and gets lowered rather than dropped. On a suburban block with a pergola, a pool and a colorbond fence in the landing zone, that is the whole job: getting the timber to the ground in a controlled way so nothing on your property wears it. Stump removals follow on afterwards so the ground is clear and usable again.

Trees that are staying, palms included, need tree pruning as they grow, to improve shape and structure and take out damage and deadwood, and our tree loppers are trained in the safety side of getting that done cleanly. Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama councils each run their own tree management application, and there is the Rural Fire Service 10/50 vegetation clearing rule on top, so ask us which one your address falls under before you plan the work.
