About This Business
The Cocos palm became very popular back in the 80s, and it is the one causing the trouble now. Left unattended it drops large dead fronds and a large amount of fruit, and that fruit can cause sickness and death in domestic and native animals, lie across a lawn as a trip hazard, and smash a window when it gets hit by the mower man. Palms are lovely things and we are not against them, but the messy ones need a visit. Our palm cleaning and removal takes the dead fronds and the fruit off, or takes the palm out altogether if you have had enough of it.
We run Whalen Tree as a local family owned business out of Port Macquarie, working through the Hastings and the surrounding area, and we will take a job anywhere within a reasonable travelling radius, so ring and ask if you are further out than that. There are two fully qualified climbing arborists on the team, we are fully licensed and fully insured, and we carry $20 million in public liability cover. We enjoy the work, we like working with trees, and we will treat you and your property with respect while we are on it.
A few small trees out of a back garden, a building site that has to be cleared, a large eucalypt to be felled, or a complex climbing and rigging removal in a confined space: our tree removal takes in whichever of those you are looking at, and the tight, awkward ones are the reason we keep climbers on the crew. For the trees that are staying, tree pruning keeps them in order. Once the trunk is gone, stump removal gets the rest of it out of the ground so you are not steering the mower around it for the next ten years, and building site clearing gets a block ready before the builders arrive.
Everything that comes off a job goes through the chipper, and we sell the mulch straight back out at $20 per cubic metre delivered, $100 for a half truck load of 5 cubic metres, or $150 for a full truck load of 10 cubic metres. When a storm has been through and there are trees and large branches down, our 24 hour emergency response team will attend and clean up. There is a fair chance we are up a tree when you get in touch, so call, text or send an email, tell us what the tree is doing, and we will get back to you and come and have a look at it.
