Nigel and Suzie Williams started Williams Tree Pro Services in May 2005, working south of the river, and it is still the family business it began as. Nigel holds a Certificate III in Arboriculture and a Certificate III in Turf Management. We are licensed by WorkSafe to perform high risk tree work, our climbers are qualified, our chainsaw, chipper and first aid tickets are current, and we carry ten million dollars of public liability cover. We are members of the Tree Guild of Western Australia.

The gear on the truck decides whether a difficult tree is a problem or a morning's work. We run a 25 metre Isuzu cherry picker and a 14 metre trailer mounted platform, both insulated for work near Western Power lines, along with Vermeer chippers at 18 and 12 inches, log and mulch trucks, a support truck and a Schaffer loader. That is what lets us take on dangerous tree removal and large tree work: the leaner over the roof, the split limb hanging above a driveway, the one sitting too close to the powerlines to go near with a ladder.

Tree pruning and shaping keeps a tree in proportion to the block it is standing on, and tree lopping, palm tree removal and palm pruning with the dead fronds and seed heads taken off are all part of the same round of work. For stump grinding we keep two options: a narrow access grinder that fits through a standard side gate, and a large RG50 for stumps out in the open where there is room to work. Land clearing and block clearance handles the bigger commercial and development jobs, with the timber cut, chipped and carted off the site.

Whatever comes off the tree gets chipped and taken away, and we leave the ground raked and clear. That mulch is worth having, and we sell it back in loads from three up to twenty cubic metres delivered.

We start early most days and we are available for emergency call-outs when a tree comes down and cannot wait until Monday. Our work sits across Perth south of the river, with regular jobs in South Perth, Banjup, Ardross and Hammond Park, residential and commercial alike.
