Our work runs throughout New South Wales. The office is at North Turramurra on Sydney's upper North Shore, which puts the North Shore, the Hills and greater Sydney close at hand, and we keep a second postal address at Gloucester in the mid north of the state for the rural side of the practice. A bushland block at Gloucester and a suburban garden at Turramurra ask completely different questions about scale, exposure and species selection, and both are ordinary work for us.

Our arboricultural assessments are independent reports, written to support development applications, planning proposals and the tree management decisions that come with owning land carrying established trees. Independence is where the value in them sits. Where a build is already under way we take on project arborist work as well: construction monitoring, tree protection through the stages when trees are most exposed, and practical advice on the days a call has to be made on the ground. Excavation close to a root zone, a crane pad set down in the wrong place, a change to levels nobody expected a tree to notice, those are the points where having an arborist across the job earns its keep.

The design side of the practice sits alongside the reporting. Our landscape design work and planting plans are drawn to complement the character of each site, so a garden reads as though it belongs there from the first season and improves with time. On the advice side we handle plant selection, restoration planting and tailored planting schemes for residential and rural landscapes alike.
