About This Business
Getting a crane in to dismantle a large tree in sections is a method we were pioneers of, and it is still the safe and cost effective way to deal with a big hazardous tree standing in a confined space. Woodvale Tree Services is a privately owned arboriculture company operating out of Port Macquarie. Adam Jarvis is the director, he learnt his trade in England and has been building experience since the early 1990s, and he has personally chosen the machinery and the team that turns up at your place.
Unsuitable, unhealthy and large dangerous trees in confined spaces are the ones our qualified arborists are set up for, whether that means dismantling a tree piece by piece or taking it out in its entirety. Before we can prune anything there is a Port Macquarie Hastings Council process to go through, and we will point you at what applies to your address before the work is booked. Stump grinding handles whatever stays in the ground, while site clearance and ongoing contract work cover the developers, utilities and property managers who need a whole block or corridor dealt with at once.
We are direct about qualifications, because uneducated advice tends to cost a tree owner years down the track. If you want a consultation, engage an AQF Level 5 qualified arborist. If you are having pruning or maintenance done, make sure whoever goes up the tree holds a minimum AQF Level 3 in arboriculture. That standard sits behind every arborist report, survey and piece of advice we produce, and it is why our work is accepted by the Local Authority of New South Wales Housing and by construction, utility, insurance and property management clients as readily as by households.
When a tree fails, your call is answered by trained and experienced staff in our own call centre, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our 24 hour emergency work crews go out to trees brought down by storms, fires and other natural events, and to the ones still standing that are clearly about to go. We have supported the NSW SES, regional councils and approved authorities through some genuinely ugly weather, and we write tree related Emergency Action Plans so that clients have a robust system in place well before severe weather arrives.
There is a good deal more to us than saws. We run elevated work platform hire, and we install fauna boxes for the bats, birds, gliders and possums that depend on tree hollows. As a general guide a suitable hollow takes at least 100 years to form in a eucalypt, which is why an artificial nest box counts for so much once an old tree has come out. That work is done alongside ecologists and government approved companies, with boxes fitted for Thiess on Pacific Highway construction and for Total Earth Care, and we have been installing rope bridges and fauna crossing recording equipment since 2007. We sell mulch and firewood as well.
The territory stretches from Port Macquarie out through Wauchope, Taree, Coffs Harbour and the wider Mid North Coast. Quotes cost you nothing. Ring Adam and the team, or send a message through describing the tree and its position, and we will get back to you.
