Between Caboolture and the Redlands there are four councils, and each one has its own rules about which trees you are allowed to touch. Plenty of people ring here and ask us to cut a tree back to gutter height. It makes complete sense on the surface, and it is one of the few things we will not do. Topping a tree that way goes against Australian standards, causes serious long term damage, and can end up leaving the tree more dangerous than it was before anyone touched it.
